Air Force Marathon Sells Out

This September's Air Force Marathon in Dayton, Ohio, has sold out of all available slots for its full marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k races, announced race director Rob Aguiar. The only way now to secure a spot in any of the races is for a registered runner to officially transfer a racing bib to another runner, or for a runner to sign up with one of the marathon's charity partners, said Aguiar in a July 10 release. Runners have between July 22 and Aug. 1 to register a bib transfer at the marathon website. Transferring a bib costs: $30.00 for the full marathon; $25.00 for the half marathon; $20.00 for the 10k race; and $10.00 for the 5k, states the release. The marathon has nine charity partners that have limited spots available for the half marathon and full marathon, states the release. "We highly recommend runners consider our charity partners," said Aguiar, since "every charity partner organization has a wonderful cause and each runner helps raise money for the charity."
