Air Force awarded Lockheed Martin a $64 million modification to a previous
contract to repair F-22 No. 02-4037, which was damaged in a training accident
at Tyndall AFB, Fla., in 2012.
Maj. Gen. Claude Bolton, who headed some of the Air Force’s most classified and
significant programs, and oversaw Army acquisition, died July 28 in Chantilly,
Va., according to an internal Air Force announcement.
Air Force Scientific Advisory Board found that MQ-9 Reapers and RQ-4 Global
Hawks can be modified for use in contested environments, and most of the
modifications that would be necessary to update the aircraft already exist,
board chairman Werner Dahm said Monday.
