The Air Force said Friday that it had to alert more than 33,000 airmen that some of their individual information—career and personal—had fallen into nefarious hands. A “malicious user” appropriated a legitimate user’s login info to gain access to and possibly download information from USAF’s online assignment management system. AFPC officials said they alerted the Office of Special Investigations in June about unusual activity on one account, then began contacting all affected airmen “as quickly as we could.” Want to check to see if your info was tapped, check the virtual military personnel flight here.
