Washington and Seoul have decided to increase the acreage on Kunsan AB, South Korea, to accommodate possibly two US Army helicopter battalions and possibly other units, reports Stars and Stripes. US Forces Korea hasn’t made final plans, but the expected extension would be around 315 acres. One possible drawback, although South Korea had “deeded” 196 acres of the tract to USFK after the Korean War, it has been used by local farmers.
