The recent news that Boeing will begin shutting down its C-17 production line has left residents around Travis AFB, Calif., a tad nervous. Travis, which earlier this month received its first C-17, is going to be home to 13 of the new airlifters, but area residents wonder if 13 will be enough to secure the squadron at the base. Fairfield (Calif.) Vice Mayor Jack Batson tells News 10 TV, “We’re always worried. … If there were 24 or 25, it would be harder to move.” Right.
