Airmen with the 50th Civil Engineering Squadron at Schriever AFB, Colo., found a new way to complete their yearly emergency engineering training—by practicing defensive firing positions out in the field. Inspired by his deployment experience, Lt. Col. Timothy Fuller, 50th CES commander, came up with Combat Airman Day to help prepare his troops for upcoming deployments. Fuller engaged 50th Security Forces Squadron personnel to help train his combat engineers in a variety of DFPs. According to a 50th Space Wing news release, Fuller expects to hold Combat Airman Day every month.
