It didn’t take the media long to start yapping at President Bush’s nominee to become the next Secretary of the Air Force, Michael W. Wynne. Most outlets rushed to report that Wynne, who has been a senior Pentagon official for the past four years, had a role in the failed Air Force tanker lease proposal and had been singled out by the Pentagon IG for “responsibility,” if not outright blame.
