Air Force Space Command plans to put 242 homes on Schriever AFB, Colo., a first for the long-time commuter-only facility. The new homes are part of a package privatization project covering new homes at Peterson AFB, Colo., and for Los Angeles AFB, Calif. According to Actus Lend Lease, which is developing the $320 million Tierra Vista Communities for the three AFSPC bases, the Schriever housing will go up over the next two years and include homes for all ranks, a community center with indoor pool, and other amenities. The plan also includes some $2.08 million to help expand the local elementary school. The Peterson portion of the project will include 597 new homes and renovation of another 55. At LAAFB, the project comprises some 560 houses.
