An F-15 from Eglin AFB, Fla., flying out of Nellis AFB, Nev., lost its canopy a few minutes after taking off about 10:18 a.m. April 4, according to the Associated Press news service. The pilot flew the fighter back to Nellis, landing safely. A search was underway for the missing canopy.
