Take a Day or Four

The Defense Department has decided that it will compensate reservists who deploy or mobilize longer than the “established rotation policy goals,” announced earlier this year, by giving them administrative absences. The rate of return will range from one day to four days. Reservists who serve over 12 months deployed during 36 consecutive months of active duty or during 72 months of mobilization will receive one day per extra month. Those who exceed thresholds of more than 18 months will receive two days per month. And, those who exceed 24 months will get four days per month.
