The saga of Otis ANGB, Mass., continues as a local CBS TV affiliate reports that state officials have signed an agreement to turn the facility into a Massachusetts military reservation, paving the way for the Coast Guard to take over the airfield from the Air Guard, once its F-15s depart, courtesy of BRAC 2005. The 102nd Fighter Wing loses its fighters, but the Air Guardsmen were to remain, pending finding a new mission. There’s been no recent news on whether they will get a hoped-for intelligence operation.
