Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, recently elected president of Iran, put on a show at the United Nations over the weekend—telling the UN General Assembly that his country would not relinquish its right to a “peaceful” nuclear program. The Iranian head of state used the majority of his 29-minute speech to rail against the US, accusing Americans of brutalizing Iraqis and Afghans and imposing nuclear “apartheid” in Iran.
