The Air Force Materiel Command will deactivate the 776th Maintenance Support Squadron tomorrow at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center. The change comes on the same day that the Defense Logistic Agency activates its new office at the center, which is located on the grounds of Tinker AFB, Okla. DLA is taking on, per BRAC 2005, the role of single supply, storage, and distribution entity across DOD. Transferring to the new DLA Oklahoma City office will be 365 jobs from the center. Warner Robins ALC in Georgia, in October 2007, was the first of the USAF’s three logistic centers to make the transition. A similar changeover will occur at Ogden ALC at Hill AFB, Utah, in April.
