TSgt. Gary Burdett from the 1st Combat Camera Squadron at Charleston AFB, S.C., is the Defense Department’s top Military Videographer of the Year for 2007, joining TSgt. Jeremy Lock (see above) in taking the top military photographers honors for the year. This is Burdett’s first time to receive the top award. DOD journalist Gerry Gilmore reports that during his tour in Iraq last year, Burdett captured the action from foot patrols and house-to-house searches for unauthorized weapons to US military medics treating Iraqi citizens and US military members training Iraqi soldiers.
