Air Mobility Command officials say the 818th Contingency Response Group/24th Air Expeditionary Group will rotate back from their two-month duty at Chaklala AB, Pakistan, next week. Now, the group has to clean, inventory, and replenish their gear for the next contingency. In Pakistan, says 818th commander Col. Richard Walberg, the airmen downloaded 263 aircraft, containing 14.6 million pounds of relief supplies. The group also sent survey teams to five Pakistani airports, and its combat control team conducted 108 drop zone surveys, ultimately calling in the only three airdrops allowed by Pakistan.
