Those RED HORSE engineers at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, are still at it. When they aren’t repairing the old airfield, they are building additions. They have a $7 million construction project in hand, one part of which is construction by early 2006 of an additional 150,000 square feet of ramp space. This project requires 6,000 cubic feet of concrete and 1,200 tons of asphalt, according to Capt. Kelly McAtee, 1st Expeditionary RED HORSE Group officer in charge.
