Air Education and Training Command is deploying a mobile training team—complete with 1,400 pounds of equipment—from Keesler AFB, Miss., for a six-week stay at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Two trainers will offer diverse global command and control system technical training to airmen deployed in Southwest Asia from late August to early October. This road show has traveled to Canada, London, MacDill AFB, Fla., Peterson AFB, Colo., and Yokota AB, Japan.
U.S. Air Force F-35s and F-22s regularly deploy deep into the Pacific region from Alaska, Utah, and Hawaii. In the future, though, the head of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command would like to see the Air Force permanently station fifth-generation aircraft west of the international date line—closer to China.
