Following its full review of the cheating scandal that erupted earlier this year, the Air Force Academy identified a total of 40 fourth-class cadets for investigation. The Colorado Springs, Colo.,-based school has found a total of 31 cadets in violation of the Cadet Honor Code. The commandant of cadets, Brig. Gen. Susan Desjardins, recommended 12 violators be placed on six months probation and that 18 be disenrolled from the academy. During the investigation, 29 cadets admitted to cheating, one of which chose to resign before the investigation concluded. Two of those recommended for disenrollment resigned, and, att the end of an appeals process, the academy placed 13 on probation.
