The Air Force has drafted an environmental assessment that determines a new initial flight screening pilot straining program at the Pueblo, Colo., Memorial Airport will not have an adverse environmental effect, the Pueblo Chieftain reports. The public can comment on the report through May 12. Earlier this year, the Air Force chose Doss Aviation of Colorado Springs to provide aircraft, instructors, maintenance and support for the service’s flight screening, and the first classes are scheduled to begin on Oct. 1.
Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, celebrated the beddown of its full complement of F-35s with a ceremony just weeks after the base received the last of its 54 fighters.
