Airmen of the on-its-way-into-history 653rd Combat Logistics Support Squadron recently completed another “new experience,” working for about six months in Egypt to help repair four of the country’s C-130 cargo aircraft, reports Holly Birchfield of Robins AFB, Ga. The 12 aircraft experts in various specialties helped the Egyptians make center wing rainbow and corner fitting repairs to the wings of the four Hercules airlifters. The Air Force is disbanding its combat logistics support units, starting this summer.
