According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, more Democratic Americans (54 percent) are likely to oppose a candidate for Congress if he or she supports the Bush Administration’s Iraq policy. On the other hand, the survey showed that Republicans—by a slightly less margin (49 percent)—would support such candidates. The same number (37 percent) in both parties said it “wouldn’t make much difference”—pragmatists abound.
