Calling for Major Change:

A majority of Americans wants a major change in US foreign policy and is more likely to vote for Congressional candidates who support that idea, according to a new poll conducted by Program on International Policy Attitudes/Knowledge Networks. World Public reports that 71 percent of those polled say they are looking for a candidate who will pursue a new approach to foreign policy. Steven Kull, director of PIPA, said: “It is a rare year that foreign policy takes center stage in Congressional elections. Voters are calling for a sea change in US foreign policy. They want less emphasis on military force, and more on soft power.”
