Engineers from the 1st Expeditionary RED HORSE Group from Nellis AFB, Nev., are removing and replacing Soviet-era steel planking covering 60,000 square meters of ramp space at Bagram AB, Afghanistan. The work is part of a $4.4 million airfield construction project. When finished, the airfield will provide US and coalition aircraft supporting Operation Enduring Freedom with a better place to park, according to Capt. Todd Williams.
