Believe it or not, Pentagon officials say they plan to request union opinion about the “details of pay banding, staffing, performance management, and other aspects” of the new National Personnel Management System. Unions, you know, have filed suit against DOD on the NSPS rollout. (DR, 11/09/05) Pentagon officials say the NSPS is undergoing a 30-day Congressional notification period, ending in late November, after which it becomes effective. The “continuing collaboration” with the unions ends in January. After that, it’s off to the races for DOD employees. Well, we still have to find out the lawsuit outcome.
B-21 Temporary Shelters Could Also Shelter B-2s

The Air Force's experimental runway shelter for the new B-21 bomber is large enough to cover it or the B-2, and therefore reveals no information about the dimensions of the new aircraft. Two such shelters will be evaluated, but the maker of the second version hasn't been chosen, yet.
