Personnel at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., are slated to move into renovated space, beginning in March. Officials told the Torrance (Calif.) Daily Breeze that it’s the first such remodeling since the 1950s and makes maintenance easier and less expensive. It also eliminates the need to trek across El Segundo Boulevard, which separated the base into two campuses. Now, the office space is co-located with base facilities such as the clinic and gym. The old campus was part of a land-swap to fund the renovation.
