Kenneth Merchant, director of the Air Force’s Global Reach Programs, recently delivered the 13th C-5M Super Galaxy—tail number 85-0004—to the 436th Airlift Wing at Dover AFB, Del. “We are very excited to receive another C-M,” said Col. Rick Moore, 436th AW commander. “It will strengthen our fleet and enhance our worldwide airlift capabilities.” The aircraft was one of 52 legacy C-5s scheduled for upgrade to the M-model by 2017, according to a Nov. 21 release from manufacturer Lockheed Martin.
