An Air Force second lieutenant beat out more than 21,000 participants in the 35th annual Marine Corps Marathon held Sunday in Washington D.C. 2nd Lt. Jacob Bradosky, 23, crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 30 seconds, 11 seconds before the second-place finisher. Bradosky is currently assigned to Vandenberg AFB, Calif. The weekend’s race was Bradosky’s fifth marathon and his personal best by 20 seconds. “I was told to run the first 20 miles with my head and the last six with my heart, and that worked out very well,” Bradosky told The Washington Post.
