Five Marines are receiving treatment after their MV-22 Osprey landed in shallow water near Okinawa on Tuesday. Airmen and an? HH-60G from the 33rd Rescue Squadron at Kadena AB, Japan, responded and airlifted the aircrew to a Naval Hospital on Camp Foster, according to a news release from the III Marine Expeditionary Force. There is no additional information on the cause of the crash, and a formal investigation has begun. It is the second Marine Corps mishap near Japan this month. On Dec. 7, Capt. Jake Frederick was killed when his F/A-18C crashed near Iwakuni.
