The Army has released the names of the soldiers killed when their Light Medium Tactical Vehicle overturned during a training accident at Fort Hood, Texas, on June 2. The soldiers are: SSgt. Miguel Angel Colonvazquez, Spc. Christine Faith Armstrong, Pfc. Brandon Austin Banner, Pfc. Zachery Nathaniel Fuller, Pvt. Isaac Lee Deleon, Pvt. Eddy Raelaurin Gates, Pvt. Tysheena Lynette James, and Cadet Mitchell Alexander Winey, according to an Army release. NBC News identified the ninth soldier as Spc. Yingming Sun. Fast-moving flood waters at Owl Creek swept away the soldier’s vehicles, with search and rescue officials able to rescue three soldiers. The incident occurred during the wettest three months in Texas history, with mandatory evacuations and rescue underway. The Army is still investigating the incident.
