The Arnold Community Council—an organization established to support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in southeastern Tennessee—is working with state and local officials to organize community and career fairs for Arnold’s Air Force civilian employees impacted by cutbacks or pending furloughs under budget sequestration, according to a complex release. The plans, still under development, call for state representatives to be available to explain benefits, such as unemployment and tuition-assistance opportunities, states the April 25 release. Companies are also expected to be on hand to discuss job opportunities. There will also be classes on budgeting, interviewing, and resume writing, states the release. AEDC is located on the grounds of Arnold Air Force Base between Nashville and Chattanooga. (Arnold report by Kathy Gattis)
