US government civilian employees may now opt for a 36-month, accompanied assignment to South Korea, according to a Dec. 2 release from the Air Force Personnel Center. DOD previously had approved longer tours for military personnel who wished to bring their family members on assignments to the peninsula. That proved so popular, USAF had to put some airmen on waiting lists. According to AFPC, the availability of 36-month tours for civilians will be “determined at the time of the job offer.” (AFPC report by April Rowden)
