An entry in June 11 Daily Report incorrectly stated that more than 100 technical sergeants in the security forces career field must move into the combat arms training instructor job or the canine handler job or risk getting pushed out of the Air Force. The Air Force release we quoted was incorrect. In fact, the more than 100 technical sergeants in the security forces career field Air Force-wide must cross train, but they are not limited to those two specialties. We have corrected our original entry.
The Air Force overall reduced its size by 120 aircraft in fiscal year 2021, but kept about the same number of fighter, bomber and attack aircraft, according to data supplied by the service. The F-35 fleet saw the biggest increase while the B-1B bomber fleet saw the largest decline.
