Dyess Airman Awarded Bronze Star

CMSgt. Christopher May of the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron at Dyess AFB, Tex., has received the Bronze Star medal for his meritorious service in Iraq. While deployed, May served as the 732nd Expeditionary Prime BEEF (Base Engineer Emergency Force) Squadron superintendent at Joint Base Balad. While there, he executed 200 logistical patrol movements, 90,000 convoy man-miles, and $117 million in engineering projects supporting operating locations across Iraq. He also oversaw completion of $50 million worth of joint projects at 24 locations, including the design and construction of more than 60 schools, bridges, and road projects for millions of Iraqi citizens.
