The Fisher House for Families of the Fallen is now open at Dover AFB, Del. Air Force Secretary Michael Donley and Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz were among the dignitaries who dedicated the new 8,462 square-foot facility. While the 50th Fisher House overall, the Dover facility is the first to provide short-term, on-base lodging and a place of comfort for families awaiting the arrival of their loved ones who have fallen in combat. The other Fisher Houses support families and their recovering wounded warriors. “Now we have a place where family members are surrounded by people who will care for them during their worst moment, and no one does it better than the Fisher House,” said Suzie Schwartz, wife of General Schwartz, during the Nov. 10 dedication ceremony. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in May. (Dover report by TSgt. Amaani Lyle)

One is expected to liberate the U.S. launch enterprise from its reliance on Russian-made RD-180 engines, while all three rockets could eventually carry astronaut crews.
