SrA. Rickey Easter, a fuels distribution operator with the 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron at Bagram AB, Afghanistan, recently reached the milestone of transferring his one millionth gallon of jet fuel from a fuel truck to an aircraft during his current deployment—only he did it in 64 days, nine fewer than anyone else has ever done it before. Easter, who deployed from the 3rd LRS at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, said of his accomplishment, “It is incredible.” He thanked his coworkers for their support in helping him reach the record. “I think it’s more a flight award, milestone,” he said. To put this accomplishment into perspective, Easter said it took almost a year to deliver one million gallons of fuel at Elmendorf. “Every flight chief, every supervisor wants 30 airmen like Rickey working for them.” said TSgt.
