A US Navy jet crashed Sunday night southwest of NAS Kingsville, Texas, the Navy announced Monday. Both pilots of the T-45C Goshawk, assigned to Training Squadron 21, ejected safely, according to a news release. The crash occurred during a routine training mission, and the cause is under investigation. The services have been hit by a number of jet mishaps in recent months.
