Officials at Osan AB, South Korea, broke ground on base for a new elementary school that is slated to open in March 2016. The design of the two-story building will be the first of its kind in South Korea, states Osan’s Nov. 14, release. It will feature a computer lab, an art room, and a learning-impaired room, according to the release. The school will be compliant with the Defense Department’s anti-terrorism and force protection requirements and will incorporate energy-efficient and environmentally friendly design features, such as solar heating.
