Airmen and F-16s from Spangdahlem AB, Germany, along with airmen from Ramstein AB, Germany, are participating in a two-week interoperability exercise with Romanian air force personnel and MiG-21s at Campia Turzii, Romania, announced the Romanian defense ministry. “Participation in Dacian Warhawk 2015 is another outstanding training opportunity,” said Lt. Col. John Gallemore, operations director of Spang’s 480th Fighter Squadron, in a release. “It affords the Warhawks the ability to train alongside our Romanian NATO partners and represent the pride, precision, and professionalism of US combat air forces in Europe,” he added. A detachment of six F-16s and roughly 100 pilots, maintainers, and support personnel from Spang’s 52nd Fighter Wing and Ramstein’s 435th Air Ground Operations Wing are taking part. Dacian Warhawk runs to March 27.
