During Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan on June 23, USAF F-15E Strike Eagles employed bombs against anti-Afghan forces in two locations, according to a June 23 USAF report. Near Asadabad, F-15Es launched 500-pound and 2,000-pound joint direct attack munitions, and near Bermel, F-15Es dropped 500-pound JDAMs. Joint terminal attack controllers confirmed the success of both actions against the enemy forces.
