Conrad H. Cheek, a member of the famed World War II Tuskegee Airmen, died Nov. 20. He was 82. According to a brief Washington Post obituary, the North Carolina native received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and a doctorate from Washington University in Missouri. He is on the list of original Tuskegee Airmen pilot graduates compiled by Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.
