A June 19 photo release from the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia notes that Capt. Joshua Tull has amassed more than 1,000 flying hours in the U-2 Dragon Lady. Tull, who is deployed with the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron, accomplished this feat in three years and 11 days.
The Air Force overall reduced its size by 120 aircraft in fiscal year 2021, but kept about the same number of fighter, bomber and attack aircraft, according to data supplied by the service. The F-35 fleet saw the biggest increase while the B-1B bomber fleet saw the largest decline.
