USAF Implements Phase Two of Rollback Program

The Air Force has implemented the second phase of its Fiscal 2013 force management enlisted date of separation rollback program, which is one of several voluntary and involuntary programs intended to align the force with congressionally mandated end strength levels, the Air Force Personnel Center announced on June 12. The rollback program allows commanders to select airmen for early selective reenlistment as long as they meet requirements. Certain airmen also will be eligible for retirement under the DOS rollback program, states the release. “Enlisted retirement is not automatic, so affected members who don’t submit their request by July 2 will be projected for separation instead,” said Lt. Col. Tara White, AFPC retirements and separations branch chief.
